Get a 25% subsidy when you buy a GEN3 Ebike in Germany! The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) is currently reimbursing 25%, up to €3,500.00, of the cost of selected Ebikes, including the GEN3. The funding is available to companies, self-employed individuals and organisations looking for sustainable alternatives to vehicles with combustion engines. How do I apply for the funding?

To apply for the grant, you must complete the application form and submit the relevant supporting documents, including
- Current offer
- Project description (details of the purpose - why and where is what being transported)
- Proof of commercial or freelance activity (e.g. business registration or assignment of VAT number by the responsible tax office, confirmation from tax advisor)
Can I buy the GEN3 Ebike and then receive the subsidy?
No. It is important that you apply for the subsidy before you buy the GEN3 Ebike. Applications received by BAFA after the purchase are often rejected.
Who can apply for the subsidy?
Private companies, including freelancers, as well as public bodies and institutions can apply if the Ebike is to be used for commercial purposes. When applying for funding, you must submit a project description in which you describe in detail how the Ebike will be used, including what will be transported, where to and why.
Can I also receive a subsidy for additional accessories?
Yes, you can also use the subsidy for additional accessories, e.g:
-Safety equipment such as a safety lock, rear-view mirror, higher-quality lights, bicycle helmet
-Upgrade of the battery (additional battery, more powerful battery)
-Upgrade grips, saddle, tyres
-Bodywork (box, flatbed, etc.)
-GPS tracker
-Shipping and packaging
Visual customisations such as special paint finishes are not included
Can I buy more than one Ebike?
Yes, the subsidy can cover the purchase of more than one Ebike.
